This is an eight part series of classes. An altered book is an existing bok that has been changed. It could be glued, painted, collaged, rubber stamped, cut, torn, or added to. This a fun and exciting form of self-expression. Each week we will explore new techniques to give you inspiration as you work on your own personal journal art. Supply list available at registration. Introduction To Altered Books
Start your own memory making and self journaling in an artful way with Altered Books. Any skill level may join and work at your own pace. This class will get you started on how to choose a book and prepare it for your creation to be.

Altered Books II
Add fun surprises to your books by learning page folds, pockets, and pop-ups.

|
|
Altered Books III
Books can have hidden spaces where you can keep special objects and treasures. This class will demonstrate how to make matchbook pullout drawers and a cutout shrine.

|
|
Altered Books IV
Transferred images add a nice touch to your pages. This class will demonstrate several types of transfers, including gel. packing tape, and calk transfers.

|
Altered Books V
Learn techniques to give your book an antiqued or aged look and feel witha a wide variety of products available to us at craft stores.
